Bernie's New Book, Bob Good v. John McGuire, and Youngkin doing well in MAGA poll.
Prince, BJ Thomas + Guns and Roses - theme RAIN!
Virginia FREE Friday at 4pm today with 2021 Pollster of the Year Amanda Iovino breaking down recent NYTimes/Siena poll on Swing States and BONUS BREAKDOWN on Republican nomination in VA 5th CD between Bob Good and John McGuire.
Click here to join that presentation and discussion.
Before we jump into it all - check out John Fredericks’ new poll out on the Republican VP nomination.
Governor Glenn Youngkin is featured and doing well. Note - this is not a scientific poll, but for Fredericks, who was Trump before Trump and remains close to the Trump operation, to include Youngkin at all is telling. That Youngkin could be doing well among the MAGA crowd is even more telling.
On with the countdown…
This week I bought multimillionaire socialist Bernie Sanders’s new book called It's OK to Be Angry About Capitalism. $30 a pop, but I saved money and downloaded it to my Kindle. #FreeEnterprise
I thought, let’s see what America’s favorite socialist/Democratic transformer curmudgeon is thinking these days.
Turns out, not much.
It’s mainly a recitation of the 2020 Democratic nomination for President with an uninteresting update of his unending grievances about America and our economic system.
To his credit, $anders has rebranded capitalism as “uber-capitalism” this time around.
Not that we don’t have our faults and shouldn’t be working towards that “more perfect union…” but when one learns of Bernie’s wealth and how he made it in this 2019 piece from Politico The Secret of Bernie’s Millions How did he amass three houses and a net worth approaching at least $2 million? The surprisingly conventional middle-class climbing of a radical-sounding socialist. One might consider offering him a rebrand from socialist curmudgeon to uber-hypocrite.
Yesterday, I had two Uber drivers take me to and from airports on the way to a wedding here in Houston. (WOW - what a storm last night!!)
Those Uber drivers, Berhan and Dickson, have a much different view of America than Bernie.
Berhan is from Ethiopia and has been in America for 10 years while Dickson escaped recently from that socialist workers’ paradise called Venezuela.
They agree with almost every Uber driver I have had over the last year - America is about opportunity. They have come to America primarily for their children’s futures and they boil it all down to economic and educational opportunity.
Guess what else?
They LOVE IT HERE!
More on Sanders’s book later, but I think his economic grievances date back to Walter O’Malley moving Bernie’s beloved Brooklyn Dodgers to Los Angeles.
That whole pesky marketplace thingy..
Speaking of the market, a yuge majority of Americans are in it to win it.

How was the storm last night here in Houston? NOT like this golden oldie:
or these two
Yes, it was quite a storm, like a 20 minute hurricane. It’s been officially categorized as a derecho. We’re still without power.
