By now you have seen the reports of the Monmouth Poll showing Terry McAuliffe and Glenn Youngkin tied at 46. The Real Clear Politics average is now at +1.8 McAuliffe:

What you may not have seen was this quote in the Monmouth poll report in which they use the word CHASM to describe voter enthusiasm:

Makes sense when you see how Joe Biden is doing nationally. Biden peaked back in February and March around 55, but he has steadily lost support. Afghanistan accelerated the approval slide and McAuliffe’s viral debate moment coincided with the Biden’s dramatic drop off. And at the wrong time - when early voting started in mid September.

March - Biden was at 55, today 42.8. Biden won Virginia with 54% of the vote.

Glenn Youngkin’s Fave/Unfave is 41-29 and Terry McAuliffe’s 39-39.
