Political Lesson of the Day:
Politics is not about getting what you want. Politics is about what you are willing to give up to get what you want without resorting to violence.

Polling update - WSJ’s latest in particular - Donald Trump +4 over Joe Biden, Nikki Haley +17 over Biden, Ron DeSantis tied with Biden. Real Clear Politics graphic:
Yes, you read that correctly - Haley leads Biden 51-34 with 15% undecided. The last time the GOP had general election numbers like that was 1984 when Ronald Reagan won 58% of the vote.
Here’s my take on a Haley/Biden Electoral Map:

Early estimates would be a Senate with 55-58 Republicans.
House? Maybe 235-240?
From Harvard Harris polling on a key ingredient on why Trump’s popularity is so resilient among his core supporters:
Shaking things up was the #1 message I got from voters in my first House of Delegates campaign - 22 years ago.

I'm seeing a new trend," said Joelle Emerson, CEO of the DEI consulting firm Paradigm. "Those critiquing DEI aren't just the extreme, right wing anti-progress activists, like the group who challenged affirmative action."
"They're also liberal leaning people who are likely values-aligned with DEI in principle, but confused and misguided about what the work looks like in practice."
That’s enough ramblin’ for today…
Just three steps closer to the weekend…
Because it’s almost…
If you're still here - more from Darkest Hour. Great clip.
I love the “confused and misguided” comment as relates to the description of liberals moving away from DEI.
Of course, it’s *always* the uneducated sloths who make things so difficult for the more enlightened thinkers amongst us.
I’m just glad that it’s starting to be some on the left who have moved into the “uneducated” camp with the rest of us deplorables.
